A family in Kaloleni, Kilifi County, is demanding justice after their 14-year-old daughter died under unclear circumstances shortly after receiving an injection at a private hospital in Bombolulu on October 7, 2025.

The deceased, a Grade Eight pupil at Twinkle Stars Junior Secondary School, reportedly developed complications while travelling home from the hospital.

According to relatives, the teenager began frothing at the nose while en route to Mariakani and was pronounced dead shortly after.

Family members say the girl, identified as Muthoni, had sought medical attention for a persistent cough when a medic allegedly administered an antibiotic injection.

Her condition reportedly worsened soon after leaving the hospital.

A post-mortem examination conducted on October 8, 2025, at the Kilifi County Referral Hospital did not establish the exact cause of death, prompting further investigations.

Samples, including foam collected from the victim’s body, have been forwarded to the government chemist for comprehensive forensic analysis.
