Paul Mungai Kiongera has emerged the best Kenya Premier League player for the month of September.

Mungai, who plays for the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) team on loan from Simba, a Tanzanian club, garnered 60.21 per cent of the total votes cast by spectators while George Mandela of Muhoroni Youth came second with 21.21 per cent.

Nakuru AllStars striker Lwamba Bebeto got 9.89 per cent, Sofapaka goalkeeper Fuadi Ndayisenga and his colleague from City Stars, Sanneh Ebrima, garnered 4.98 and 3.73 per cent respectively.

In statement posted by KPL on one of their social media platforms, Kiongera expressed his joy and thanked all KCB players for their teamwork.

The KCB striker has scored ten goals in his first round of the league and is ranked position five overall in the Kenya Premier League.
