Investigations launched after woman’s body dumped near Kisii Police Station

According to a police report, the woman’s body was found lying naked a few meters from Kisii police station with deep cuts around her neck and private parts.

The body of the deceased was retrieved and taken to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue awaiting an autopsy.

Kisii-based activists have expressed their concern with rising cases of brutal attacks on women  and subsequent killings.

A few days ago, Fontina Ngare a Kisii woman representative aspirant in the August General Election, was also attacked in her Mosocho home by unknown men.

She is currently recuperating at Kisii Referral Hospital after sustaining serious injuries on the head.
