Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda disputes ODM nomination results
Kisumu Central MP
Fred Ouda on Wednesday led his supporters in protests across the lakeside city,
rejecting the Tuesday ODM primaries win of Dr. Joshua Oron who was handed ODM's
ticket for the legislative position.
According to the results announced, Ouda garnered 5,362 votes while his main competitor Dr.
Joshua Oron got 6,842 votes.
The incumbent
legislator dismissed the nomination results, citing that they were not reflective of the people's will.
Ouda however did not specify his next course of action
despite his supporters urging him to defend his seat on an independent ticket.
On his part, Oron embarked on holding celebrations in different parts of the city, flaunting his interim nomination certificate.
