KK Security Ltd has completed its transition to GardaWorld Security – Africa, following its acquisition by the global security firm nine years ago.

The rebranding announced on Tuesday marks the final phase of the integration, aligning the Kenyan company with GardaWorld's global operations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and other parts of Africa.

Rishi Ahluwalia, Country Director – Kenya at GardaWorld Security – Africa, noted that the transition reflects the company’s commitment to combining local expertise with global resources.

"Our brand evolution reflects the breadth of our service offering, as we continue to combine local knowledge with global strength and invest in training and technology to provide comprehensive security solutions," said Rishi Ahluwalia.

Kenya’s private security sector is growing, with more than 2,500 registered companies and an estimated guard force of over 800,000 nationwide. GardaWorld Security – Africa employs over 8,000 trained security professionals across key regions in Kenya, including Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi, and Nakuru.

Oliver Westmacott, President and Chief Operating Officer of GardaWorld Security – International, stated that while the company has integrated KK Security’s local experience with GardaWorld’s global expertise, it still sees significant potential for growth in the Kenyan market.

The rebranded company will continue to provide specialized security services across various sectors, including aviation, port operations, logistics, agriculture, and security for diplomatic missions and NGOs.

As part of the rebranding, GardaWorld has upgraded its National Security Operations Centre with AI-powered remote monitoring and real-time asset tracking, enhancing its ability to respond to security incidents.

Private security remains a major employer in Kenya, particularly for young people aged 18-35, and GardaWorld’s investment highlights the growing demand for professional security services in the country.
