KNH Issues 7-Day Notice On Uncollected Bodies Among Them 541 Children

Out of the 66 bodies of adults lying at the KNH mortuary, 20 of them are unidentified; bringing the total number of uncollected bodies to 607.

In a statement, the health facility said it will seek authority from the courts to dispose of the bodies lying at its farewell home once the notice period lapses.

“Pursuant to Public Health Act Cap 242 [Subsidiary: PUBLIC HEALTH (PUBLIC MORTUARIES) RULES, 19911 (2), interested members of the public are therefore requested to identify and collect the bodies within 7 days," the statement reads in part.

The farewell disposal list from Kenyatta National Hospital recorded three sets of twins and one set of quadruplets.
