KNUT Threatens To Strike
The ‘return to work agreement’ was signed between the Teachers Service Commission and the union on 18th July 2013.
A 90-days ultimatum earlier issued elapsed on 16th October last year but according to the union the government failed to respect the deal agreed.
The union’s Secretary General Wilson Sossion said the three-week ultimatum commenced yesteday,Tuesday.
“If they are not ready to listen to us, then we will dance the usuall dance, and dance it better than we have ever done before. For us it doesn't matter whether it comes on Christmas or in the middle of exams, we will take action,” Sossion warned.
KNUT says it has about 36 other issues it wants addressed.
The teachers have vowed to down tools if the 21 days notice elapses without the government addressing their issues.
