Koskei urges Power of Mercy committee to ensure fair vetting of convicts before pardon

Koskei told the advisory committee that the petitioners for pardon by the Head of State must be handled with care and utmost professionalism.

The Chief of Staff insisted that all applications to be reviewed fairly and promptly in adherence to the legal framework set.

Koskei who was speaking during the launch of the committee's 2024-2028 strategic plan at the Kenya School of Government in Kabete lauded the program which he believes will help in integrating offenders back to the society.

At the same time he called on the players in the justice sector and the committee to realize the full implementation of the plan to transform those incarcerated.

The event was attended by key players in the justice system who reiterated their commitment on the course.
