The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced that its Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS) will undergo scheduled maintenance starting at 10:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

The iCMS system is a crucial platform used by importers, exporters, and clearing agents to manage customs procedures.

It enhances trade efficiency by speeding up the cargo clearance process, reducing complexities associated with multiple systems, automating manual processes and reengineering workflows.

In a statement on X on Friday, KRA highlighted that the system will be unavailable until 6:00 AM on Sunday, January 12.

“Kindly be advised that there is scheduled maintenance for iCMS system starting tomorrow Saturday 11th January 2025 at 10:00PM and ending on Sunday 12th January 2025, at 6:00AM,” KRA said.

KRA similarly advised taxpayers and stakeholders to plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during the downtime.

"We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” said KRA.

The system is expected to be fully operational once the maintenance exercise is complete.
