The drama over the occupancy of a
multi-million shilling home in the leafy suburbs of Karen pitting Labour
Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore and Gatanga MP Edward Muriu has been resolved
after the CS moved out of the house.
MP Muriu confirmed to Citizen TV that CS Bore
left the house on Monday night hours before his 48-hour ultimatum expired.
The Monday night exit also came hours after
the management of Amara Ridge wrote a letter to the Cabinet Secretary asking
her to provide them with either the executed sale agreement or executed lease
agreement, or any legal documentation that granted her access to the Villa.
The management indicated that as per their
records, the Villa owner contends that he has never granted her access.
It further directed her to provide the
information within 24 hours, failure to which they would disconnect all
services offered by the management and also deny her entry into the Villa and
the estate.
It is not clear if Bore submitted the
required information as she vacated the premises on Monday night.
A visit to Amara Ridge on Thursday confirmed
that the Labour Cabinet Secretary had indeed moved out and the house was now
vacant.
Bore had on Sunday defended herself against
accusations of illegally occupying the house, insisting that she had initiated
the process of purchasing the house priced at Ksh.120 million.
She had further stated that she paid 10 per cent
of the agreed amount and signed the sale agreement, which she is yet to show as
proof.
The Gatanga MP, who said she had expressed
interest in the property but was yet to make any commitment, demanded that she
shares any agreement signed between the two parties and receipt of the 10 per
cent payment.
With the Labour CS out of the house, a few questions
still remain; Did she leave a house she had paid 10 per cent deposit without
demanding her money back? Where is the proof that she had a sale agreement or
an agreement to allow her inside the house? Just how did Bore find herself in
Muriu’s house? And could she have told the public the half truth about the
agreements?
