Lamu man, 20, on the run after losing Ksh.190k belonging to employer in a gambling spree
Robert M'munoru, a retail employee, reportedly went to a nearby police station to file a statement claiming that he spent the money on a lottery game offered by a local betting company.
M'munoru, who has been missing since November 28, left a note for his boss in which he confessed to the losses he has incurred in the business, saying it was the reason for his escape.
According to his family, if he is discovered dead, the betting company should pay for his burial, and if they refuse, the government should take over the responsibility.
As compensation, he requested that his boss take ownership of his Miraa farm in Meru. Robert forgot his phone and some clothes in the shop.
