Naneu Muthoni, lady who was found dead in Langata

An autopsy report conducted on the body of Naneu Muthoni, who was found murdered in Lang'ata estate on Monday has revealed that she died due to traumatic brain injury.

The report further revealed that she was beaten severally with a blunt object and a sharp object penetrated her head.

According to the autopsy report conducted by Chief Government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor, multiple injuries on the body of Muthoni are consistent with assault.

Earlier police reports indicated that the body of the 30-year-old had deep cuts on the forehead with blood oozing from the nose. The scene had blood splattered on the wall and on the floor with clear signs of a struggle.

The lady’s boyfriend Thomas Mbugua Muthee, who has been named as the main suspect in the murder was last seen on November 12.

The family which is yet to come to terms with the gruesome murder of their last-born daughter says the two have been in a relationship for one year.

The parents were uncomfortable with the relationship after they learnt of time-to-time assaults by the suspect.

Naneu Muthoni reportedly visited the suspect on Friday last week just meters away from her home. She went missing, only for her badly wounded body to be discovered on Monday November 14, lying in the suspect’s house while covered with a bed sheet. The suspect is said to have taken off after the incident.

Langata sub-county police commander Monica Kimani said they are in hot pursuit of the suspect and believe they will soon bring him to book.
