The company has been selected to ferry fans to the Sarit Expo Center in Westlands, Nairobi, where they will have the unique opportunity to see and take photographs with the prestigious trophy, which will be placed on a plinth for the occasion.
Kenya is one of only five African countries chosen to host the UEFA Champions League trophy as part of its month-long global tour, which began on April 7 in Vietnam. The tour, sponsored by Heineken, aims to bring the iconic trophy to “hardcore” football fans across Asia and Africa.
Joining the tour in Kenya is celebrated German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger, who will be accompanying the trophy and engaging with local fans throughout its visit.
“We are very privileged to be part of the UEFA Champions League Kenya tour,” said Nyawira Maina, Regional Corporate Manager at Little Limited. “This is a rare opportunity for us to connect with local football fans and allow them to get closer to the celebrated trophy. It’s an exciting moment for all of us.”
Maina also highlighted that the event will allow Little Cab to showcase its commitment to sustainability. “Through this partnership, we also have the chance to highlight the steps Little is taking to protect the environment. The electric buses we will use to ferry fans from key locations, including Kencom, Junction Mall, TRM, and Imaara Mall, are eco-friendly and known for their minimal greenhouse gas emissions,” she added.
Little Cab first announced its electric mobility plans in March 2022, revealing electric bikes and scooters as part of its strategy to reduce carbon footprints in the transport sector.
Through its electric fleet, Little Cab aims to play a role in alleviating these environmental challenges, offering a cleaner, greener alternative for urban mobility in Kenya.
