Live Updates: Vetting of Cabinet nominees

The vetting of the 22 Cabinet Secretary nominees President William Ruto announced last month kicked off on Monday at the National Assembly.
The 15-member Appointments Committee, led by Moses Wetangula, Speaker of the National Assembly, will hear the nominees.
A communiqué by the Clerk of the National Assembly Sarah Kioko states that the exercise runs through to Saturday, October 22, with the exception of Thursday, October 20, when the country will observe Mashujaa Day.
