President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Sunday hosted students from Loreto Convent Msongari High School at State House, Nairobi, to mark the Easter festivities.
The students arrived early in the morning and were treated to a heavy breakfast on the lawns of State House.
The President, who was accompanied by the First Lady, joined the students before addressing them.
President Kenyatta urged the girls to work hard at school and to avoid temptations that will distract them from succeeding in life.
The President said women are playing important roles in today’s Kenya and encouraged the students to work harder to become achievers.
“Nobody should tell you that you cannot succeed. Challenge yourself to do better and look after yourself because there are many things that will excite you,” the President said.
The students were led on a tour of State House with the President welcoming them to his office and even allowing some to sit on his chair.
