Love one another, Ruto tells Kenyans as Odinga wishes him Merry Christmas

Deputy President William Ruto has urged Kenyans to unite, maintain peace and love each other in order to lay a strong foundation for a prosperous nation.

Ruto stressed that citizens from all parts of the country must maintain good relations to secure peace and unity among all Kenyan communities.

The Deputy President urged Kenyans to appreciate the country and celebrate God-given blessings by regarding each other as brothers and sisters irrespective of ethnic or political backgrounds.

He added that the festive season gives Kenyans a chance to appreciate how service to humanity and common good enhance collective purpose.

Ruto made the remarks at his Sugoi home when he hosted hundreds of Sugoi residents and officials of 32 SOS Children’s Villages in Uasin-Gishu County.

At the same time, CORD Leader Raila Odinga has sent out a message to Kenyans during this festive season.

In his message, the opposition leader asked Christians to follow the message and teachings of Pope Francis during is Papal visit to Kenya in late November.

He also wished President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto a merry Christmas.
