The two anti-riot officers cornered the unarmed vendor along Moi Avenue and beat him to a pulp before opening fire at close range. This occurred amid protests to seek justice for Albert Ojwang'.
Despite the National Police Service (NPS) announcing that they have arrested the shooting officer, Ms. Odhiambo argued that the other officer should asl be apprehended because he took part in the assault.
"It's not just the shooter, his colleague was also right there and he is an accessory because you see them pushing the victim and then running away together," she told Spice FM on Wednesday.
"They are part and parcel and they must be held accountable."
The LSK president added that the NPS should reveal the identity of the arrested officer since Kenyans online have already made attempts to unmask him.
"I'm waiting to see the statement where they name that particular police officer. Members of the public have already identified him, and his family, and are already calling him out," she noted.
She further called out the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to similarly release their statement on the unsettling incident and any action they have taken on the rogue officers.
Youthful Kenyans took to the streets calling for the resignation of Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat, who is a key suspect in the death of Ojwang', but it turned into chaos after goons infiltrated the protesters.
Health Director-General Patrick Amoth said that the shot youth was taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and underwent an emergency neurosurgical surgery.
The incident has sparked public uproar as Kenyans continue to call for swift action against unlawful police conduct.
