M-Pesa services to be unavailable as Safaricom announces system maintenance

Telecommunications company Safaricom has announced system maintenance scheduled for Monday which will make all services under its mobile money platform M-Pesa unavailable.

In a customer notice issued Sunday, Safaricom said the maintenance will take place for a period of 20 minutes from 1:00 am to 1:20 am.

“During this maintenance, all M-PESA services will be unavailable. All other services including calls, data and SMS will remain available as usual,” the company said.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for supporting us to be the country's leading provider,” added the notice.
