Machakos County New Highway Under Scrutiny

The recently tarmacked 33 Kilometre Kithimani-Makutano-ma Mwala Road in Machakos County has attracted praise as well as criticism in almost equal measure. Already there are pictures on social media platforms showing the alleged chipping of sections of the road barely weeks after its completion which took a record three months. But there are also many county residents who have praised the project which they say has radically transformed business and movement between Yatta and Matuu Districts in Machakos County while linking the Thika-Garissa Highway with the Kitui-Machakos Road.
