Man arrested for killing 4-month-old son in Murang'a

Mark Njuguna is said to have gotten into a physical altercation with his wife Mary Muthoni in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

According to reports,  Njuguna is said to have physically assaulted Muthoni before grabbing and violently smashing the child's forehead on the concrete floor.

The infant, who the suspect claims is not his biological son, died immediately, after landing on the concrete floor head-first.

According to a police charge sheet, Muthoni was able to raise alarm after fleeing from Njuguna who had earlier threatened to kill her should she attempt to expose his gruesome actions.

Njuguna is currently in legal custody while the infant’s body has since been moved to General Kago Mortuary in Thika pending post-mortem.
