Man caught ferrying 7 sacks of bhang on boda boda arrested

The man who has been identified as Jared Okoyo Abucheri was transporting the commodity on a motorcycle when police officers who were on patrol intercepted him along Sega-Ugunja road.
The officers stopped the suspect who was speeding and established that the luggage that he was carrying were several brooms of cannabis sativa which was stuffed in the seven sacks.
Siaya County Police Commander Mr. Cleti Kimaiyo confirmed the arrest of the suspect, noting that he will be arraigned in court to be charged with being in possession of outlawed commodity.
Elsewhere in Rarieda sub-county, officers from Madiany Police station through partnership with the Asistant Chief of Katweng’a sub-location Mr. Esau Oduru arrested a 24-year-old man while in possession of 1 liter of chang’aa and 8 bottles of 250 milliliters of second generation liquor known as blue moon.
The man who has been identified as Alex Juma Wekesa was arrested at Kopiata beach and locked up at Madiany police station.
While confirming the incident, Siaya County Police Commander Mr. Cleti Kimaiyo stated that the man will be arraigned at Madiany Law courts Monday.
