Man charged for sodomising 15-year-old boy in Kangemi

A man was on Wednesday charged for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old boy in Kangemi, Nairobi County.

The accused, Kennedy Otieno Ochieng, was arraigned at the Milimani Children’s Court to answer to defilement-related charges on diverse dates between February 1 and April 23, 2025.

According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the accused was also charged with five counts of child pornography, contrary to Section 24(1)(d) of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crimes Act No.5 of 2018.

Appearing before Dr. Alice Macharia, the court heard that between February 8 and April 24, 2025, the suspect unlawfully produced a pornography video and shared it using his mobile phone.

It is alleged that on the said dates at Waruku-Kangemi in Dagoretti sub-county, Otieno also harboured a 15-year-old minor whom he exploited sexually.

The accused was denied bond, and the case set for hearing on June 17, 2025.
