Man claiming to have killed two Kiambu cops surrenders to Church

A man has surrendered to a church in Ngong, Kajiado County and claimed he was among gunmen who shot dead two police officers in Kibichoi, Kiambu County last week and robbed them of their guns.

The man was handed over to police and taken into custody for grilling into the claims even as the hunt on the killers of Constables Martin Irungu and Paul Maina of Kibichoi Police Post continue.

Police say the man has since named a number of suspects into the said murder of the incident that happened last Friday.

The two policemen were Friday afternoon shot dead by unknown gunmen while on patrol at Miti Kenda area in Kibichoi, Kiambu County.

The gunmen pumped four bullets to each of the officers before they jumped on waiting motorcycles and rode off.
