Man kills brother over meat in Mount Elgon

A man is being held at Kapsokwony Police Station in Mount Elgon, Bungoma County after he stabbed his brother to death over a slaughtered sheep in Koshock Village.

According to Koshock Sub-Location Chief Stanley Mondi Cherop, the deceased was stabbed to death by his brother – Kenendy Saima Kirui – over the ownership of the sheep that had been left by their mother.

Cherop said that Kirui was enraged after his brother slaughtered the sheep without waiting for their mother to decide who owns it.

He then drew a knife and stabbed him, killing him instantly.

The body was taken to Dream Land Mortuary in Bungoma.
