Man Kills Father In Law

Jackson Ngara is said to have killed his father-in -law Mr Philip Irungu,  aged 45 years at his homestead in Gakanga sub location after he was asked to hand over his one and a half years old daughter.

According to the Ngara’s estranged wife Ms Purity Wambui, she left her husband two weeks ago following a domestic squabble and went to stay with her parents in Juakali village, Nyeri County.

Wambui said that on Friday, Ngara went to her maternal home demanding for his daughter.

Wambui says she complied to avoid any confrontation with her estranged husband.

Wambui said that once her parents came back, they agreed to get the baby back from Ngara’s home.

Wambui said her father was the first one to enter Ngara's homestead, where the latter attacked the 45 year old with a machete.

Irungu succumbed to the injuries before he was rushed to hospital.

The Area Assistant Chief Mr Francis Wanderi confirmed the incident.

Police have mounted a man hunt for the suspect.
