Man stabs Form three girl to death, injures her brother in night attack

The girl identified as Alphins Opuodho, a student at St Joseph’s Olando Mixed Secondary School was stabbed to death by a man said to be her boyfriend at about 11.30 pm on Tuesday.

It's suspected that the man disagreed with the girl some hours prior to the incident.

Kibwer Sub-location Assistant Chief Richard Okinyi says the suspect raided the house where the girl and her brother were sleeping at night and stabbed her on the back and head.

After stabbing the girl, the suspect turned against her younger brother whom he stabbed on the hand, abdomen and head before he disappeared.

Residents who rushed to the scene after the family raised the alarm rushed the victims to Magunga Level Four Hospital where the girl was pronounced dead on arrival as the boy was admitted. 

The administrator said the identity of the man has not been established since the girls’ family did not know him.

The administrator said they have liaised with police who are looking for the assailant as the girl’s body was moved to St Camillus Hospital Mortuary.
