Man suspected to have murdered woman in Narok arrested

In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) said the suspect, identified as Patrick Mujitwa murdered a 45-year-old woman named Sarah and left her lying in a pool of blood.

The woman's body is said to have multiple deep cuts on the head, a deep cut on the right hand at the elbow, a cut on the abdomen and a deep cut on the right leg.

"Some of the exhibits recovered from the suspect's compound include a pair of gumboots, a slasher and a crowbar, all stained with blood," read part of the statement.

The deceased's body has been taken to Lolgorian Level IV Hospital awaiting autopsy.

Meanwhile, the suspect will remain in police custody pending arraignment.
