Man who bit off wife’s lip arrested in Mombasa

A man who allegedly bit off his wife’s lower lip in what is suspected to be a case of domestic violence has been arrested in Bamburi, Mombasa.

Reports indicate that David Mungai has been regularly fighting with his wife Anne Waireri with whom he has three children.

He is accused of injuring his wife on August 29 at their home in Bamburi.

The man apparently kept evading the police and it is neighbours who busted and frogmarched him to the station.

They also claim he bit off one of her fingers during a previous domestic fight.

He is expected to be arraigned in court after police conclude investigations.
