Marsabit: Man stabbed to death in suspected love triangle

A middled aged man was brutally murdered in Elbeso village, North Horr constituency, Marsabit County, in what is believed to be a love triangle.

The body of the slain Badaqe Galgalo Abduba (34) was found in a pool of blood with deep cuts.

Confirming the incident, Marsabit County police commander Leonard Kimaiyo, said the incident took place on Saturday at the home of the lady believed to be his girlfriend.

Kimaiyo indicated that the deceased had visited the woman's house when the fatal incident occurred.

The accused, Guyo Talbe 45, who is also alleged to be the woman’s boyfriend, suddenly showed up, and a heated confrontation ensued before escalating into a physical fight that ended in fatal injury.

Elbeso elders who reported the case to the area assistant chief said that during the incident, the lady's husband was away in the neighbouring Isiolo county.

The lady, Daro Sora Roba (25), was taken to the North Horr police station to record a statement.

The 45-year-old suspect later surrendered to the police, admitting to stabbing the deceased several times on the left side under his armpit.

The murder weapon was found 500 meters away from the scene with blood stains.

The deceased’s body was moved to Marsabit County Referral Hospital for postmortem.

Police have launched further investigations into the unfortunate incident.
