Migori, Kisii Land Registries Suspended to Allow Digitization

Acting Cabinet Secretary for Lands Dr Fred Matiangi has called for immediate land adjudication in the counties and issuance of title deeds to all public institutions including police stations and schools in order to end wrangles between communities and individuals.

Matiangi said that the Ministry of Lands, with the assistance of the Ministry of ICT, has embarked on the digitization of the registry in order to clean up the ministry that has been riddled with corruption and incompetence.

Matiangi was speaking at the Kamagambo Adventist Teachers Training College where he presided over a graduation ceremony.

He also cautioned individuals who have grabbed public land saying that they will be dealt with mercilessly.
