Miguna talks after court revokes his deportation

After a high profile and controversial deportation, politician Miguna Miguna can finally breathe a sigh of relief after the High Court ruled that he is free to return to the country.

As expected, the self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement General has hotly responded to the ruling which declares the revocation of his Kenyan citizenship as “illegal, null and void.”

In a series of tweets, the controversial lawyer reiterated that NRM will use fundamental rule of law as their weapon against “despots”.

“We, the #NRMKe, Kenyan patriots and freedom fighters, believe in and are fully committed to the rule of law. We shall use the Constitution as the spear and the shield in the fight against the despots,” he tweeted.

He also acknowledged National Super Alliance allied lawyers including Senior counsel James orengo, Nelson Havi, Apollo Mboya, Edwin Sifuna and Waikwa Wanyoike for a job well executed.

In seven days the NRM leader will be free to return to the country if the government surrenders his passport to the High Court as Judge Kimaru ruled.

Miguna was deported on February 6 for his role in the controversial “swearing in” of Mr. Odinga on January 30.
