Odhiambo calls on Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to expedite the investigations over the death of the fisherman identified as Calvin Omondi Onditi who was reported to have killed himself in the police holding room few hours after his arrest over bestiality claims.
The MP wants IPOA to dig deep into the incident and provide a conclusive report on the suicide allegations as she calls on residents to remain calm and give the investigators sufficient time to conclude their work.
Omondi who was from Ndhiwa constituency was arrested in the night of Saturday after he was allegedly found naked in a goat pen at Ndhuru village. He was detained in a police station where he was later found dangling from the roof.
She laments the numerous cases of alleged suicide cases in the police custody, adding that this matter should be addressed with alot of seriousness.
The legislator calls on locals to collaborate with investigators as they wait for a postmortem report from the hospital.
