Muthoni says that the government will not relent on the crackdown and shall not be cowed by those going to court.
Speaking in Kirinyaga on Saturday, the PS revealed that some unscrupulous traders have been selling illegal products which have been banned by the government following numerous concerns from members of the public.
She accused the traders of moving to the courts to slow down the ministry, irrespective of complaints from Kenyans following the rampant sale of emerging tobacco products like e-cigarettes.
Muthoni called on Kenyans to join hands with multi-agency teams formed by the government to help in combating the illegal products.
The PS also revealed that the ministry is developing a quality care and patient safety bill, which is meant to ensure standardisation of health services to all Kenyans.
The bill will also streamline health services in both public and private hospitals. She argued that the bill will empower Kenyans to demand quality health care in all hospitals.
