Monica Kimani murder case: Court to deliver judgment on Jowie, Maribe today

The High Court is this morning set to deliver judgment in the case where Joseph Irungu alias Jowie and former TV news anchor Jackie Maribe are charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.
The verdict was set to be issued on December 15, 2023, but Justice Grace Nzioka said she was yet to complete scrutinizing part of the exhibits that were submitted to her on Monday this week.
In a virtual submission, the judge told the parties in the case that “three gunny bags” of exhibits were submitted to her and she would need more time to peruse them.
The said exhibits include items such as clothing, bottles among others.
The main accused person Joshua Irungu had pleaded with the judge to deliver the judgment before Christmas holiday, arguing that it has been a long and agonizing wait for him and his family.
