Moses Kuria dissolves Chama cha Kazi party to join UDA

Trade Cabinet Secretary nominee Moses Kuria has announced that he has dissolved his Chama cha Kazi party to join the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Speaking at a funeral in Elgeyo Marakwet, the former Gatundu South MP stated that he has already notified the Office of Registrar of political parties (ORRP) of his move.

Kuria also called on residents to elect a senator allied to the UDA party when a by-election is called, following Kipchumba Murkomen's appointment to serve as the Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport and Public Works by President William Ruto.

"Up to yesterday I was the chair of a party called Chama cha Kazi, I dissolved it and went through the registrar and joined UDA. I also want us to join hands and once nominations are over you give us the name of the candidate so that we can appoint him," he said.

Speaking in the same event, outgoing Senator Murkomen vowed to support anyone who would succeed him and will work with them.

"Whoever will be vying just ask for my vote and then I shall vet, but the ultimate decision on who will be your next senator is from the people. And I will support any Senator who will be elected a hundred percent," Murkomen said.
