Taking to his social media on Tuesday after William Ruto was sworn in as the fifth president of Kenya, the ex-legislator noted that "his objective has been achieved", bidding farewell to his followers and tweeps.
"My objective has been achieved. My good friend William Ruto is the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya. This account will be permanently deleted on Wednesday 14th September 2022 at 18:00 hours. It was great interaction guys. Adios !" Kuria tweeted.
His account, since its creation in 2015, has garnered a total of 335.9 thousand followers.
Kuria's expected move comes after Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i deactivated his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after President Ruto's inauguration.
Matiang'i boasted over 1.3 million followers. His account went blank and could no longer be accessed on the social media platform.
