MP Osoro, Senator Malala arrested after surrendering to police over by-election chaos

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro have been arrested after surrendering to police over the recent by-election chaos witnessed in various parts of the country.

Osoro availed himself at the Kisii Divisional Directorate of Criminal Investigations  (DCI) headquarters after being on the run since Thursday when he was wanted over the Kiamokama by-election chaos.

The MP arrived in the company of his lawyers Alice Wahome, Gladys Shollei and Wilkins Ochoki. He was placed into custody and is set to be arraigned in court.

Senator Malala, on the other hand, surrendered to police at the Kakamega DCI offices following summons over Matungu by-election chaos.

He was grilled before formally being placed into custody as well.
