Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has been under fire for four days following a Tweet he posted attempting to condemn professionals with dreadlocks.

MP Kaluma took to Twitter On Sunday, writing, "Imagine your doctor, lawyer, engineer in dreadlocks," which sparked a heated debate online, particularly among people with dreadlocks.

The legislator's comments stemmed from his earlier reaction to Kenya Methodist University's (KeMU) ban on male students wearing dreadlocks, plaited hair, or earrings.

Irked Tweeps then flocked to his comment section chastising the MP for his incautious words.

A good number of software engineers, lawyers, IT specialists, and other professionals chimed in on the pertinent matter, sharing their images in an endeavour to prove MP Kaluma wrong.
