MP threatens to ‘urinate’ in Ndakaini dam over water shortage

Residents of Ndakaini in Gatanga, Muranga County are an angry lot.

The residents are complaining that despite being host to the biggest dam supplying Nairobi with water, their area has been left to suffer with acute water shortage.

Speaking at Ndakaini on Monday, Gatanga MP Humprey Njuguna said he could “mobilise his constituents to urinate into the dam as it does not help them at all.”

The MP lamented that 85 percent of his people lack access to clean water, terming the issue a historical injustice.

His sentiments were backed by David Mukuna, a resident, who said some members of their community lost cattle in March due to lack of water.
