Mudavadi: ANC's declaration on January 23 will be a political earthquake

Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi now says that he will make a declaration on January 23 that will shake the entire country.

Mudavadi who is on a tour of Nyamira was speaking to the media  on Sunday, where he said his declaration during the ANC National Delegates Conference will alter Kenya's political setting as well as give direction on his political future.

Mudavadi urged Kenyans from across the country to make sure they are near a TV set on the material day, to be part of  the history that will be made.

"Sitaki kutoa siri zote sahii sababu nitakuwa nimetoa utamu na ladha, lakini siku hiyo ANC itatoa msimamo ambao utakuwa kama msisimko wa wa ardhi katika siasa za Kenya," Mudavadi said.

At the same time, Mudavadi said he was not worried that other OKA pricipals are also eying the country's top job.

He asked Kenyan to to stop reading too much into it, arguing  that KANU had already declared their Presidential candidate ahead of a joint nomination.

All eyes are now on Mudavadi who has yet to make a political stand, even after denying that he was being courted by DP Ruto to form an alliance ahead of the polls.

Mudavadi's ANC  recently lost Nabulindo, deputy party leader Ayub Savula (Lugari), Godfrey Osotsi (Nominated), Oku Kaunya (Teso North) and Christopher Aseka (Khwisero) to Raila's Azimio La Umoja Movement.

With his fortunes dwinding, the former deputy Prime Minister is keen on re-inventing himself as a contender, with the polls some 7 months away.

Already, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has thrown  his hat in the ring and now hopes to succeed  President Uhuru Kenyatta who leaves office in August.

Others who their sights set on the Kenyan presidency include Azimio La Umoja's Raila Odinga, UDA's William Ruto, Governor Mwangi wa Iria as well as Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
