Mugo wa Wairimu is a quack – Medical Board

Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB) has discredited Mugo wa Wairimu’s clinical operations labelling him a quack.

Speaking on Citizen TVs Power Breakfast show, KMPDB CEO Daniel Yumbya said Mugo does not possess the requisite qualifications to be a doctor, leave alone a gynaecologist.

“Mugo is not a member of the board, he is not a doctor. The said individual has not gone through the due process that is a requirement for one to get the accreditation to be a doctor,” he stated.

Mugo revealed that the board is in touch with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to place officers on the ground so that the suspect can be arrested and prosecuted.

He further revealed that Mugo was arrested two months ago for operating without a licence and was wondering how he was released without facing charges.

Mugo was exposed in Citizen TV’s investigative feature which was aired Sunday night for allegedly raping his patients.

Video evidence shows the suspect abusing a motionless patient who had been injected with anesthesia.

After watching the exposé, the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko posted on his official Facebook page that he would issue direction on the matter on Monday.
