Muranga family survives fire accident
A family has escaped death by a whisker in Ithanga village, Muranga County, after their house burnt down Monday night.
The four – a mother, father and their two children – are nursing serious injuries at Kenyatta National Hospital.
Neigbours say the family went to sleep normally on December 19, only to have their house go up in flames late into the night.
“We were woken up by screams from the family’s house and woke up to find them burning inside, but we managed to save them,” said a neighbor.
Confirming the incident, Murang’a County Police commander Naomi Ichami said police are still investigating on the cause of the fire.
