Organised by Dubai-based MXM Exhibitors, the event brings together five sectors under one roof: grains and technology, agro and poultry, food and beverages, plastics, and paper and tissue.
Over 200 exhibitors from 16 countries are expected to showcase technologies and solutions ranging from crop storage systems and poultry farming equipment to packaging machinery and biodegradable tissue production.
The exhibition aims to create linkages across the agricultural and industrial value chains, with a focus on food production, post-harvest handling, and local manufacturing.
This year’s edition comes at a time when African economies are facing slow recovery, high public debt, and limited access to private sector credit. A recent World Bank report projects Sub-Saharan Africa’s economic growth at 3.5% in 2025, rising to 4.3% by 2027. Despite this, per capita income in many countries remains below pre-pandemic levels.
Agriculture continues to play a central role in poverty reduction across the continent. Studies indicate that investment in agricultural productivity can significantly raise rural household incomes. The exhibition will highlight solutions such as climate-smart poultry systems, automated grain storage, and sustainable packaging aimed at improving production efficiency and reducing losses.
The event also reflects broader regional integration efforts, particularly under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), by bringing together businesses and investors from across the continent.
Kenya, which accounts for about $132 billion of East Africa’s GDP, is among the countries looking to leverage such platforms to boost trade, support small businesses, and attract investment in agro-industrial development.
The expo will also focus on practical tools and technologies that address challenges in food security, value addition, and job creation in agriculture and related sectors.
