Nakuru Deputy Governor Warns Isaac Ruto Against Criticising Gov’t

Rutto said the Governor should work with both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for the sake of development.

Speaking in Nakuru, Rutto said that it was wrong for the Council of Governors chairman to “throw stones at his brother”.

The deputy governor said that if Governor Ruto fails to tone down his criticism of the government, the move may not auger well among the Kalenjin community.

Further, the deputy governor trashed a proposal by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi that KANU will field a presidential candidate in 2017.

He said that KANU was a “rejected party as it was associated with past atrocities during President Moi’s regime.”

He said that Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) was the party to beat in 2017 as it will bring together different communities, which is an important political component in the Rift Valley region.
