Nakuru: Police rescue abducted girl, arrest 5

An 8-year-old girl who was abducted last Friday at Pipeline estate in Nakuru town was on Monday rescued by police and five people arrested.

The Class 2 pupil, who had been locked inside a house in Kabatini area, Bahati, was rescued by detectives from Nakuru on Monday evening.

Her rescue is said to have been fast tracked after reports of her going missing went viral on social media.

She is reported to have been abducted at 5:30pm on Friday, June 8 after being dropped home by the school van.

According to police, five suspects; three men and two women, were arrested during the rescue mission and are being questioned at the Nakuru DCI County headquarters.

Her parents could not hold back tears after they were informed of the successful operation.

She was rushed to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital in Nakuru for medical check up.
