Narok Governor threatens to close Transmara Sugar factory
Narok Governor Samuel ole Tunai has warned that Transmara Sugar Factory risks closure should it continue collecting sugarcane from the neighboring counties.
Speaking at a fundraiser at Olereko in Transmara, Narok, Tunai reminded the management of the factory to give priority to Narok farmers, who, he said, had sufficient supply before admitting external cane.
Tunai, who initiated various development projects, thanked Kisii Governor James Ongwae for reconciliation initiatives among communities living along the border of the two counties.
