A middle-aged man died suddenly after a car wheel he was inflating at a fuel station in Narok town exploded and struck him, killing him instantly.

Confirming the incident, John Momanyi, the police commander in the central Narok area, explained that the tyre unexpectedly burst while being inflated, striking the man.

The explosion launched him into the air, and he landed headfirst, killing him instantly.

“While repairing the wheel of the car, as he was continuing to inflate it, the wheel suddenly burst and was able to injure the one who was performing that repair work, “Momanyi said.

“Unfortunately, we lost him, “he continued.

The deceased's body was taken to the Narok Referral Hospital mortuary.

Momanyi expressed his support to the family following the loss of their loved one.

“We would like to send our condolences to the family who has lost our dear one,” he said

The police commander called on individuals in that line of work to exercise caution and prioritize their safety by having the necessary safety equipment.

“Those helmets they wear are crucial so that in the event of something like this, they are not injured, as we witnessed today, “he said.
