NASA in court to end Lamu, Garissa curfew

The Opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition has filed yet another case challenging the curfew imposed in Lamu, Garissa and Tana River counties.

In the application before the Garsen Law Court, the opposition claims that its agents might be locked out of the polling stations and tallying centers during the August 8 General Election.

The Opposition further argues that the public shall be excluded in the August 8 polls as a result of the dusk to dawn curfew imposed in the three counties.

The matter has been certified as urgent and parties in the case have been directed to argue their case before the Mombasa High Court on the 25th of this month.
