National Assembly Plans New Bill To Tame Governors

Parliament’s assault against governors continues with the national assembly set to debate a bill that seeks to formalize a pecking order that puts the county bosses below senators and mps. The order of precedence bill 2014 sponsored by Eldas Mp Aden Keynan places governors at position six in the order of seniority of elected leaders. This bill comes just weeks after parliament debated and failed to pass a bill originating from the senate that sought to strip the governors the title of his Excellency and the right to fly national flags in their cars.
