No Bike past 11PM, Kirinyaga County Says
While making the announcement, Kirinyaga-central OCPD Eliud Monari said that the operators will now be allowed to conduct their businesses up to 11pm.
The decision was reached after a security meeting held at the Kerugoya police station where motorcycle operators were in attendance.
Speaking after the meeting Monari pointed out that the ban would be eventually extended to Kagumo and finally all parts of the County.
Monari also warned those who will be found operating after 11pm of prosecution.
He further urged the operators to be cautious and report any suspicious persons during their operations.
The OCPD also held a meeting with matatu and private vehicle owners to chant the way forward over security threats.
